Getting it right!

In Monday’s stage, Mattias Kessler nearly timed his move to perfection. Today he got it right. Attacking in the last 3k toward the end of the leg breaking Cauberg, Kessler flew up the 800m 7.3% climb like a man possessesed. He said yesterday, his goal was to remind people that T-Mobile was still in the race. To drive the point home, Kessler’s teammate Michael Rogers took second.

Also getting it right today was Tom Boonen who won the yellow jersey from Thor Hushovd. Boonen took fourth in today’s sprint despite a a slow leak in one of his tires. Boonen will wear the jersey after today’s transfer to Huy,Belgium where the race begins Wedneday.

Not getting it right today was Alejandro Valverde (Caisse d’Epargne) who suffered a race ending crash. While the crash looked innocent, Valverde suffered a broken collarbone. Too bad.
