Jan Ullrich has asked his girlfriend Sara Steinhauser, sister of former teammate Tobias Steinhauser, to marry him - and she has said yes. Ullrich has been with Steinhauser since he broke up with Gaby Weiss, the mother of his daughter.

“I am so happy, that she accepted my proposal and that we will marry,” said Ullrich. “She is the best woman in the world. I am head over heels in love.”

Now, now, Jan - with only a week to go before the start of the Tour, this is no time to go soft…
